For gawds sake keep IE6 and forget IE7 for ever and ever, amen. Wait for IE8. Maybe it won't be the disaster that IE7 is and continues to be.

Hi,
Yes, if IE7 make a mess keep IE6 untill all clean and your system Healthy
then try IE7.
Right click the Icon on your Desktop and select properties from the list and
make sure these settings correct:
Click on Shortcut Tab:
Target: [ "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLOREEXE" ]
Start in: [%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% ]
Shortcut key: [ ]
Run: [ Normal ][v]
Comment: [ Finds and displays information and web sites...
Click [OK] after making sure these settings correct and Hit F5 to refresh.
Go through these cleaning steps:
1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2... You need to be sure your system is clean from malwares and Viruses by
scanning for them
