Where there any updates installed from Windows Updates right before the
problem started? If so remove them through add/remove programs then do a
System Restore to before they were installed. If no updates then try a
System Restore.

Yes, I think there was, I don't remember what, where can I find them
to uninstall them?

Remove them through Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. If you don't know what was installed, go to Windows Update, do a custom scan, then click on Update History in the left pane for history of what was installed when.
