In the TClock properties, under the clock / format section, this is
the text for my particular custom format:

You can adjust your text colors and background colors to your own
preferences.
Ah, nice! I use another Tclock varient called TClocEx, available at
<http://www.rcis.co.za/dale/tclockex/>. It has a few more features than
yours - the one I like most is a little pop-up calendar.
