I have windows 2000 and im trying to upgrade to windows XP. Everytime i try
to load the disk it gives me error code 0xc0000006 . Ive tried almost
everything i can think of. Uninstalled adobe, turned off my spyware, virus
protection...and still nothing. Any help would be great. Thanks!
If you don't have success upgrading then backup the important data, then run the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard on it to migrate data and settings, and to be in the best shape, use a drive imaging program to image the windows 2000 installation to an external hard drive, then do a clean install of XP. Apps will have to be reinstalled from original media, then use FAST to bring back the data and settings.
