Wes,
I have just looked at the user's headers & see that the user isn't using IE
too
CDO (CDONTS) is an object for sending messages before the SYSTEM.NET...
class in .NET
Strange how you are so interested in the user's headers when your e-mail
address is 'comcast.net' which is responsible for a huge amount of SPAM each
day. Is this a coincidence, Wes?

onceI am using outlook express as my newsreader. You're not using OE in this post.
Message header shows...
X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000
OE would show up as...
X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Meaginn,
Was just checking because its an API used in programming
The VB.NET code is:
Imports System.Runtime.InteropServices
<DllImport("Shell32.dll")> _
Private Shared Function SHUpdateRecycleBinIcon() As Int32
End Function
Then call the following code behind the button:
SHUpdateRecycleBinIcon()
The above code will change the icon to the default recycle bin iconyouempty
Attached to this post is a VB.NET application I wrote especially forworks, that runs with the .NET Framework 1.1. You will see your name in the
help | about box & also when you right-click the application |
properties | version
commentThe application empties the recycle bin silently & no confirmation &
updates the icon
Feel free to distribute it but remember I own the copyright & you need
the ..NET Framework 1.1 to run it
To download the file attached you need to be using Outlook Express as
your newsreader
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/support/newsgroups/howto.mspx
The above will show you how to configure it so if you want you can
download the attachment I created especially for you
I hope this helps,

Wesley,
There are many ways to do this but sometimes creating a text doc then
deleting to recycle bin then deleting the recycle bin sometimes
clickbut another way is this:
Create a new Shortcut
Paste in this line:
%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,SHUpdateRecycleBinIcon
Click NEXT
Click FINISH
Now double-click the icon when the recycle bin is empty, which should
replace the recycle bin icon to the correct one
Please note: If this doesn't work then its because its a Win32 API &
is used in programming, but the LockWorkstation function in the
User32.dll doesn't take any parameters & returns an Integer just like
this function so it should work This function is held within the
Shell32.dll
Please post back your findings
Cheers,

Try this first.
Right click the Desktop | Click Properties | Click the Desktop tab |
Click the Customize Desktop button | Click on the Recycle Bin (full)
icon
Click the Restore Default button | Scroll over to the right andon the Recycle Bin (empty) icon | Click the Restore Default button
Restore Default button:
[[Click to use the Windows default icon for the selected desktop
item.]]
You may have to reboot, I have no idea.
If that doesn't work, go here...

Sorry, my problum may be the icon on my desktop. the icon is a ful
icon and should be an empty icon. I tried to change the icon ,but
that did not work it shows as a full icon. How can I fix this. I
sent something to the recycle bin and was able to empty it but the
icon shows it as full.
Meaginn,
I strongly recommend NOT to accept anything written by someone you don't personally trust. Newbie MIGHT be sincere, but then again, one never knows. Read my reply to him in this thread,
