Dennis,

It may be a one time deal. No drivers were even mentioned.

I have one instance of Event ID: 7026, Event Source: Service Control Manager in my records that happened to me. It only happened once and about a dozen drivers were listed.

There is probably a screwed up .cpl file that is causing the
Control Panel problem.

the error box goes away and then the control panel appears like it
