I had a spyware infection on my XP Home SP2 machine and I have everything
cleaned out except for one registry key, which is located in the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current
Version\Winlogon\Notify key. I am the owner of this key, and all
permissions
are set to Full Control for my account. However, when I try to delete I
just get a message saying there is an error deleting the key and I cannot
get
rid of it. I tried in Safe Mode, and nothing changed. I changed
ownership
of the key to another user, changed the permissions for that account, but
still no go. How can I get rid of this pesky registry key? Thanks for
any
insight!
Jeff
