Incorporate (Slipstream) service pack 2 into the intallation CD.
Combining Windows XP with Service Pack 2 for reinstallation
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894947/
But why is the OP trying to re-install XP on a new machine that already
HAS xp on it?
moving to existing install to new hardware ...most likely needs to do a
"repair" install for the new stuff
But the new machine already HAS XP.....the addition of another HDD as
slave doesn't need a repair install.......does it?
You seem to be missing the point.
What point? That the OP has a NEW machine (his words) with XP SP2 installed
on it, and is trying to do a re-install with a CD that is XP SP1?
Does the OP really want to make life as difficult as he possibly can?
And YOUR point was?
