I have a program that I installed in the default location 'program
files', and which has its icon on my desktop display.
Every so often, like once a day or so, I will be mousing around
selecting other applications etc, and this program will suddenly start
up. I have no idea why, and no other application manifests this
oddity.
Can anyone suggest why this is happening? and how I can stop it?
Besides uninstalling it that is.
Thanks
Jethro
Adobe developers seem to incorporate a lot of "automatic" features
intended to speed up workflow -- at least as they envision it. Most
likely, as you are "mousing around," you do something that Adobe
interprets as wanting to start Lightroom. For example, from the
Lightroom FAQ:
Issue: Photoshop Lightroom opens each time a card reader or camera is
connected, or an all-in-one printer is turned on.
Solution: an explanation on how to resolve this issue is provided within
the Knowledgebase
Also:
Q: Whenever I connect my iPod or anything else in my USB port, Lightroom
opens, which is highly annoying. I cannot find anything in the options
to change this prefrence.
A: On Windows, you have to disable adobe downloader.
If you can't figure out what's causing the startup by reading the
documentation in your demo, search and/or post in the Adobe Lightroom
forum: http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc2cf0a/
Thanks - Some things here for me to explore.
