Re: balloon "pop" sound all the time

Check your "event" sounds...something is triggering the "pop" sound. Go through them one at a time.

My machine keeps making that irritating balloon-tip "pop" noise every 40 seconds or so. Balloon-tips are disabled. I have nothing running in the background that shouldn't be. This is driving me insane.

Any ideas as to how to stop it (short of disabling all system sounds, that's not acceptable)?
