Adobe developers seem to incorporate a lot of "automatic" features intended to speed up workflow -- at least as they envision it. Most likely, as you are "mousing around," you do something that Adobe interprets as wanting to start Lightroom. For example, from the Lightroom FAQ:

Issue: Photoshop Lightroom opens each time a card reader or camera is connected, or an all-in-one printer is turned on.

Solution: an explanation on how to resolve this issue is provided within the Knowledgebase

Q: Whenever I connect my iPod or anything else in my USB port, Lightroom opens, which is highly annoying. I cannot find anything in the options to change this prefrence.

A: On Windows, you have to disable adobe downloader.
