Re: DVD rewriter

You seem to have a common problem which consists of burning CD or DVD in
multiple burning sessions.. if you burn files at different times on the same
CD or DVD, you have to leave the media open for future burning sessions and
that causes reading problems particularly if you use different burning
software in different sessions. So try to burn all the files you want to
burn in a single sesion (or burn at once method) and close it... Also, leave
some free space at the end of the CD or DVD, if you don't leave sufficient
space, you can also make the disc unreadable. The usual empty space to have
to leave at the end of the disc is about 30MB if I remember correctly.

If you burn at different sessions and don't leave enough space for the
software to close the last session, or the single session, you most probably
will have reading problems.

A few tips to prevent burning and reading problems on CDs and DVDs
a- Use and stick to certain burning software, third party software do a much
better job than Windows
b- Use and stick to a brand of CD or DVDs.. not absolutely necessary but
some media are better than others, when you find the brand that suites your
needs, stick to it.
2- Preferably use the burn at once method for burning CD or DVDs... and
leave enough disc space after the last session (in miltisession recording)
or after the single or burn at once recording session. The burning software
should have the exact empty space you have to leave on the disc.
