Hi Don,

Have a look at these MSKB articles:

message when you start the computer: "Illegal System DLL Relocation"

Previously I purchased a Software application called Solitaire Plus and have
been using this for 6 years. However now it will not open. I get the
following panel:

Illegal System DLL Reloaction

The relocation occurred because the DLL c:|windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx
occupied an address range reserved for Windows System DLLs. The vendor
supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory, the application will not
run properly.

The application is named SolitairePlus. exe

First question is how did this happen?

and the second is how to correct this?

I have tried to restore to a previous date but I can't even do that, just
get the message 'Unable to restore to the previous date' Is there more than
one way to restore a system?

Thanks in advance

I am running under WIN XP.
