Re: Internet History

Try disabling auto complete. Go to Internet Options click the Content tab and then click the Setting button in the auto-complete section. In the auto-complete window remove the tick mark from 'web addresses' You might also find it useful to remove the tick marks from the 'user name and password on forms' too.

In many cases the web address are stored as MRU's (most recently used) in the registry. As a suggestion download CCleaner (better known as Crap Cleaner) from www.ccleaner.com Install it and then run it. Once it opens click the Run Cleaner button. This will clear out history, temp internet files, cookies, mru etc. I use it regularly. There is an 'issues' button which will edit the registry, this isn't as good as it could be so 'don't' use it. Just use the cleaner option.

Hi, I have went to Control Panel and cleaned out my cookies and deleted my
files and cleared History. But when I log back on and go to my address bar
and type in a "old" (I deleted everything) it still fills it in as if I had
just went to that site. I was wondering if there is somewhere else I need to
go to get in out of there. Plus when I go to the history folder and type
that web site in it shows up also? Thank you
