One Computer Two local sessions

I am looking for information if it is possible to make one computer
with two monitors as two seperate computers? Meaning that if I have
two monitors, 2 keyboards.... I could login to one machine at the same
time. How do I go about it? I don't really care about performance.
Will I need hardware... ?
