Repairing Windows

I need to repair my Windows following several crashes and Systems Restore in
Safe Mode, which did not restored the PC to 100% performance. I still have
all the original CDs with the Product Key, but I understand that since I
have SP2 installed, the repair cannot take place.
I also understand that there is a way of joining SP2 with the original
Windows CD to make the repair possible.
Since I am a self-learner and still consider myself as a beginner, will
someone please, let me know in easy to follow steps how to proceed with the
joining and repair job.
