Do I now have the rights to the licence? How do I get the registered users

I update via MS check for updates?
I recommend with a used computer that you do a clean install of the OS. You don't want to inherit the operational problems or other nasties. For a legitimate sale of the XP license the sale has to include the XP installation media. If you didn't receive it contact that company. Otherwise it's not a legit transfer of the license.
