When I copy the Luna theme from the another computer, Where do u want me to
paste it?? (I tried pasting it here C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes and followed
the instructions you told me but i did not see another luna theme in
C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\Luna {luna.mst}. Also for this step:[ Go to
Start => Run and type in (or copy/paste) the following: expand -r
E:\i386\luna.ms_ C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna\) Is it necessary to still
write the drive name like E since I do not have the XP CD?? (nevertheless i
did actually write the drive name. I changed E to D for my computer. When I
ran it, a command prompt came out for a second and disappeared. From there
you instructed me to go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna\ to see if
Luna.mst was there, but it wasn't!! Am I doing something wrong? If possible
Please explain it with more details.
THANKS

Hello again,
Now I see the problem - sort of a half XP theme.
It could be that the file 'luna.msstyles' is corrupt. So try
this -
presuming you have an XP installation CD - if not copy the
file from
another XP installation:
Go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna
Locate the file *luna.msstyles*
Rename it to *luna.msstyles.old* {without the asterisks, of
course}
Next:
Insert your Windows installation CD and stop any autostart.
Go to Start => Run and type in (or copy/paste) the following:
expand -r E:\i386\luna.ms_ C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna\
Where E: is the drive letter for your CD-ROM (chage this
letter if
yours is different). There is space before and after -r and a
space
before C:
Go back to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna
There should now be a file called luna.mst
Rename this file to luna.msstyles
In Display Properties, change your theme to Classic => Apply
=> OK
In Display Properties, change your theme to Windows XP =>
Apply => OK
Luck!
Claymore: I have never seen this problematic situation before. I
am glad that you could help Emad with his problem. Perhaps if
his attitude and his explanation had been more clear, help would
have been forthcoming sooner. Nice to see that his attitude has
changed. Perhaps WE misjudged him as well.

Hi,
If you don't have an installation CD, you can either search your
computer for an i386 folder, or copy the file luna.msstyles from
another XP computer. Your local computer shop may give you a copy. If
you do find an i386 folder somewhere on your computer, you would have
to modify the Run command I posted earlier to point the expand command
to the i386 folder on your computer rather than the CD drive. If
you're not sure how to do this, post back.
And Doug ...
Thanks for that.
