Yeah, it's only the Add or Remove Programs applet. . .
Also found an error message "Code: 0cx0000005"

Try 3-4 other entrees in CtrlPanel. They work?

Just started getting an application error when attempting to open the "Add
or Remove Programs"
feature in the Control Panel applet in XP (sp2). The first error message
is:
"Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience."
This message appears as a dialog box in the "Add or Remove Programs"
applet
itself. The 2nd error message is a Dr.Watson dialog box that pops up after
closing "Add or Remove Programs" that states:
"rundll32.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program.
An error log is being created."
There is also an application error event added to Event Viewer with
Event_ID
1000 that states:
"Faulting application rundll32.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module
unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00750063."
Never saw an error like this one before and need help in solving to avoid
yet another OS reload. . .

Any advice given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS (Normally, Usually, Generally, Sometimes :)
