MassiveProng,
Net Use LPT1 \\machinename\HP9800
Is what I used where machine name is replaced by my machine name.
No help here guys?
I know I am not in the vista group, but since I do not yet have it,
can anyone help with this problem?
You need to run the NET USE command as Administrator.
on msnews.microsoft.com you can find microsoft.public.windows.vista.print_fax_scan
What I have is an old DOS legacy app that works great, but ONLY
prints to LPT ports, and my printer is USB.
You may want to have a look at Printfil to have your DOS jobs automatically redirected to your networked printer (or any other Windows printer), even on Vista.
More info and a free trial version is available for download at http://www.printfil.com
