Re: Monitor blanks out a few minutes after boot

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I had a similar problem not long ago and it turned out to be the monitor
cable.

My monitor switches off a few minutes after boot (it's miracle it has
allowed
me to go this far today). The green light however still flashes, which
indicates power supply is fine. CPU and PSU would also be running. I've
made
sure both are free of dust. I've also checked my power settings in BIOS.
Everything seems normal.

I'm running Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 2.
Computer
is Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz 512 MB of RAM.

Would appreciate any suggestions ........
