I want to format a hard drive that already has Windows XP Professionaldo
installed. Basically, i just want to use the drive for data storage so I
not need XP on the drive. How do I do this?
If the drive does NOT contain the active Windows installation
then you format it like any other partition: Right-click it in "My
Computer", then select "Format".
If it DOES contain the active Windows installation then
Windows won't let you format it.
