Quick Launch Icons are Incorrect, but work

Just recently, the Quick Launch icons have been scrambled on startup, with
no pattern that I can see. The icons are there, but Internet Explorer (for
example) has the Outlook Express Icon, and so on for all of them. If I turn
off Quick Launch (right-click taskbar, select toolbars, then uncheck Quick
Launch. Reverse to re-enable), and then turn it back on again, they are
correct.

How can I keep them that way?
