Hello Krishnav,.
The type of Laptop Make and Model would help.
It's probably a setting in your Laptop Manufacture's Power Settings or
Software.
Thanks,

I had to reformat and re-install Windows XP home edition on my Laptop because
it was infected with a spy ware that could not be deleted by McAfee.
The computer is working fine except for a problem with the standby mode.
When the system wakes up from the standby mode, it swtiches off the broadband
connection in my router. I am using a 2 Wire router with a Netgear PC wirelss
card. I contacted the 2 Wire company and they sent me this comment
"This sounds like a problem with the way Windows handles the standby feature
and waking up the TCP/IP services. I would suggest you contact your OEM or
Microsoft to get this issue resolved"
I have made no changes after installing the drivers and configuring the
wireless router.
I have to switch off the router and repower it to get the connection working
again.
Could you suggest a solution?
Thanks
Krishna
