I have a DVD-RAM Drive that does DL DVD's etc. but after I used a registry
cleaner I think it removed its type as now it says its a CD Drive although
it
still plays movies but in Windows Media Player wont let me burn music to a
CD-R disc which it should.
I can retrieve the old entry from my registry if you can tell me where
abouts it is or if not how I can fix it.
P.S. I have tried using device manager to remove and and re-install it and
it dosent work.
Have you looked to see if that reg cleaner has an undo feature? If not try
using system restore to go to a recent restore point. SR backs up a copy of
the registry.
This is just another example of why one should not sue a registry cleaner.
They cause more harm than good.
