PC wants to start reinstall - doesn't need to!

Hi,

To make a long story short, I had a very specialized piece of software
on installed on a Windows XP Pro PC. I took an image of this PC using
Ghost Solution Suite. I have used this on other PCs in our network
without an issues. Of course, because this PC is so important and
Murphy says let it be so, there were complications.

It contiued trying to boot into the virtual partition from Ghost. At
the time I did not know how to deal with this and ghreboot and gdisk
were not any help. So I used a windows XP CD to go into the XP Repair
console. I tried to do a bootcfg /rebuild in hopes it would reorder
the MBR correctly. THis did not work. I then was able to reorder the
MBR using mbrwiz /sort but now everytime it boots, it says it wants to
install Windows.

I know everything is there because when i boot in with a bootdisk, I
can pull up the C drive and see everything there (old directories,
WINDOWS directory, so on) but when I boot up, it takes me to an
install windows. It looks like a Windows installer (MSI) screen, not
the normal looking windows install.

Any ideas on how I can get rid of this? I would push the image taken
back to the machine but I don't know that this was taken correctly in
light of the problems. This is a very important PC and I cannot do to
have it need to be rebuilt (vendor has to come out from half way
across the country to rebuild the customization, and this was WHY I
wanted to take an Image in the first place).

thanks more than you can possibly know.

.
