I have the same problem. Tried everything listed here. Nothing works. I do
have numerous listings in the 'Uninstall' group with long numbers and no
names. When you check they do represent programs listed. I recently
downloaded MS Office 2007 to try. Is this causing my problem?

Thanks foir the tips, but the two utilities from kellys-korner did not remove
the spaces I have in the list, and the windowsxp asddress listed didn't seem
to match the problem I was having, any other ideas?

Add/Remove- part of program list is blank.

Go here:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm

Go down to here on that page:

"Add or Remove - White Space"

or try: Add/Remove

When I go to this utility, the window says 'please wait while the list is
populated' and then, when the list comes up, about half of the programs are
shown, the rest are there, at the bottom of a long blank section, some parts
of which have black bits in them. Any ideas of why and/or how to rectify it?
Look at the list alphabetically and try to figure out what program is
missing from the list. If you figure out what program is missing:

- Run regedit and look through the listed programs in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
for the filename that's missing from the list, and delete its entry there.

or

- Uninstall the program, then reinstall, if you can from its Startup folder.

If that's what you installed just before the whitespace appeared, it
seems to be the cause. Try removing, then reinstalling MS Office 2007.
