hotel room, if I visit same site from a "common" computer in hotel
internet cafe can get to it w/no problem.. what do I have to do in
laptop so can get to site..
samethingw/google (google groups, i.e., usenet..) from internet cafe
in hotel can log on fine so can post, but from laptop in my hotel room
(borrowed from work (am here on business), no idea what all is set up
in that machine) when try to log on, type password, type "sign up" and
it goes nowehere, asks for password again..
would appreciate some help..
thank you very much...
Never ever open a Bank account from a Public Internet cafe or common
computers, you don't know how much buggy these machine are?.
1= Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .
Click on Connection Tab and be sure that your connection set to theproxy
not to your Old Connection there.
then why does proxy server block some sites?
(I don't have password -- is it same password as to log on to
machine?)
thank you...
Click on LAN button thenProxyand be sure the correct IP is set and retype
the passoword.
Also try this:
Open a Run Command and type in:
ipconfig /flushdns click [OK]
ipconfig /renew click [OK]
netsh winsock reset click [Ok]
Reboot your machine and try the connection, the Hotel Reception should help
in that?.
HTH.
