How much free space is on drive D? When did this problem start? Could you
ever save or copy files to that drive/partition? If you could what changed
between the time things worked and when they didn't.

The error messages you quote mention "aol". Does this happen with any
files/folders or are you moving/copying/deleting some aol related files?

It could be an issue of ownership and permissions. From Start | Help and
Support search on ownership and then on permissions for info on this or see
these articles:

HOW TO: Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/?id=308421

How to set, view, change, or remove file and folder permissions in Windows
XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/308418/en-us

OK im using aol as an example. i have over 60 gigs of free space on my
second hard drive the first hard drive isnt effected by this problem.

Then look at the ownership and permissions issues. Btw, glad you made it back safe! Thanks for serving.
