Re: Mass Storage Controller - Continuous error 39 message

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Its part of your motherboard chipset drivers, obtainable from your mobo
site, or manu site if a Laptop or large OEM eg Dell/HP etc

You havent purchance been using win update for drivers? if you have try
rolling back the driver
Never obtain drivers from winupdate.

Every time I start Windows XP I am asked to install a Mass Storage
Controller
via the Add New Hardware Wizard, but the system cannot find the drivers
on
my computer or the net. I then get a "(Code 39)" message "Windows cannot
load
the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or
missing.

I have uninstalled via Device Manager etc but to no avail. I d not even
know
what a Mass Storage Controlleris, and I am not plugging anything into my
USB
ports etc.

Any ideas?
