Running WinXP Pro with SP2
I am running a DFI PS85-BL rev. B mobo with an Intel P4 and 1 Gb Ram and a
150 Gb Hdd with 20 Gb free.
Installed Intel USB System Check and indicated FULL support for USB.
The universal host controllers are running 5.1.2600.2180 drivers as is the
Std. Universal PCI to USB Host Controller, the Enhanced Host Controller is
running a 5.1.2600.0 driver.
I have the latest BIOS update as of 10/18/2004.
I have the latest drivers from DFI.
Any attempt to load in other drivers to usb results in a newer driver
notification.
Any attempt to rollback drivers results in no other driver notification.
I have run some software trackers which indicate newer USB drivers are
available - but do not exist.
The badwidth is 10 % and the power management is 500 mA.
This is a one day problem where the usb's were working fine then they quit
working, no software was downloaded.
Installed USBView and all the connections said nothing was connected.
I had a Microsoft Intel Mouse / USB installed on back panel.
I had Creative Media MUVO TV/FM mp3 player installed front panel.
There are no error messages - no device not recognized or yellow error
triangle or anything.

Have you tried different cables/devices? Also, try disconnecting all
the USBs that aren't on the mobo. Also, have you tried installing the
original chipset drivers that came with your mobo CD? Have you tried
to revert the BIOS? If none of these work, trying running system file
checker with your OS cd. (Run... sfc /scannow). Good luck
