How do I change the language bar hotkey/shortcut?

I need ctrl+space to work for something else in an application that I'm
using, but instead of the application getting the key combo, it goes to the
windows language bar instead.
I would like to change the language bar hotkey for switching languages.
The Advanced Key Settngs->Change Key Sequence options do not affect the
default ctrl+space hotkey.
