Have small wireless XP network w/five PCs and a printer. Just added
another PC (#6) and when I try to add a printer to that PC I cannot
find it (the printer) on the network. Also, I cannot view network
resources using "My Network Places." Yes, DNS and DHCP and Browser are
running. I think this thing came with Norton, but I am unable to open
Norton to check the firewall settings.
Re: Printer sharing with MS network ... I checked Norton on both computers and on the computer with the printer ... On the other computer I had to manually trust the network.... Re: Lost a machine ... All was well prior to installing Norton... under Local Network when you went to Start, ... It has simple File Sharing enabled, which requires the Guest account,... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web)

I uninstalled my Norton and things started working better. ... reinstalled Norton and my network is still working pretty well. ... problem I have now is that on XP pro machine I still "dosn't have access" to ...
