Hello,
Have a working PC and having multiple issues and want to just start from scratch.
Can someone walk me threw how to re-install Windows XP on my pc.
I inserted the blue Gateway Operating System DVD into the pc and rebooted but get the message you have a newer version on pc then on DVD and aborts what I want to do.
Any ideas????
You're getting the message because 1) your Gateway installation media is pre-Service Pack 2 and your current install is post-Service Pack 2; and 2) you're trying to do a clean install from within your running Windows which won't work. Here are links to take you through a clean install. You can use your Gateway cd or slipstream SP2 into it.
