Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi All,

I have IE7 installed on my computer and i have noticed that i cannot browse
certain web sites with an error message "you need to enable cookies to place
an advert".

I have configured the Tools -->Internet Options --> Privacy tab to allow ALL
COOKIES but i still get the same problem.

What am i doing wrong? Do i need to configure something else in order that i
can access these sites.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Well, try to assign these sites into the trusted zone and raise the security
to Medium settings.
Also look in the Blocked/Allowed cookies they may be blocked so remove the
blocked cookies and you will have access.
Look in the Hosts file for any entries for them and remove it. If you have
Anti-Virus with Firewall they can Block Banners,Adds, Scripting images or
Animated images or Pop-up images so configure the firewall to allow this
feature you want to access without compromising your security.
Don't forget IE7 have a Pop-Up blocker so set that to low or medium to allow
these sites.
Again please in the future post to the relevant NewsGroup to get the most
useful answers.
Good Luck.
