Re: Unable to launch an *.exe file

Thanks for your answer, ...
but launching the executable from the root of my hard drive didn't solve the problem.

I've sent a mail to the makers of this file yesterday, but no answer at this moment.

Hi,
I've tried everything, but still unable to launch an *.exe file (& only this one !)

- Win XP Pro SP2 up to date.
- Fire Wall XP Sp2 (The *.exe file is on my desktop)
- Avast A.V. + Spybot S&D + Win Defender

- This error : http://cjoint.com/?bAnfgj2wUP
"You do not have acces to make the required system config. modif. "
"Rerun from an administrator account "

- This *.exe file: http://www.isota.com/dictionaries/french-france.exe

I've tried with admin. account, with others accounts & in Safe mode too...

Any idea to fix it ? Thanks -- KLP

Since the problem only occurs with one executable:

1. Put the executable on the root of your hard drive (at C:\ for instance) and try it from there.
If it works, then right-click on the executable in its new location and drag to the Desktop.
Release the right mouse button and choose "Create Shortcut".

2. If that doesn't work, contact the makers of "french-france.exe" for tech support of their
product.
