To the knowledge of you super MVP's, will there be an update to make LOC
report on progress of the scan? My copy never changes from: "percentage
complete 0%"
and the box where blue blocks should appear, which also reflect percentage
of completion, stays empty.

You should post to the Live OneCare newsgroup. That's where the LOC experts are.
