I have IE7, XP sp2, and i can't for the life in me figure out how to
turn off the "bell" sound the computer makes when it signifies that
a file download is complete.
Also, is there a way to stop XP from asking me where i want to save
a file every time i download one? Can't i send them all into the
same place automatically?
Thanks much for your input.
Hi Mani!
Open control panel then sounds and audio devices, click on the
"sounds" tab, under the windows heading the first item should be
"Aterisk" hi-lite it and hit the play button if you here the bell
sound just select none from the drop down menu and save it.
I have a wav file assoc. with Aterisk and it plays when my
download is complete.
Good Luck
