Right-click a blank area of the Desktop & click 'Properties', this should open the Display Properties dialog.

On the 'Desktop' tab, click the 'Customize Desktop' button. In the Desktop Items, dialog, click the 'Web' tab. Select and Delete the unwanted picture from the Web pages list. Also make sure that 'Lock desktop items' is not checked.

yesterday i was working on word y i mistakely copyed a photo that was
in the word .doc and pasted it in the desktop.... windows asked me
something wich i dont remember and i sayed yes..and suddenly my icons
changed color....I mean their font was white with no background, but
now the have a blue background and that looks ugly. my wallpaper
does'nt look nice any more...
