Re: Windows start up error message re Setup32.exe

Hi. Nothing looks unusual on the list. Any further ideas?

Cheers.

Thanks for this. I have removed the ticks from various boxes for
components I
have not recognised, but I still get the error message on startup. I
presume
that I should be ignoring any Microsoft details and concentrating on other
manufacturer`s items?

Thanks for your continued efforts to help me resolve the problem.

Cheers.

Thanks for this as well. This is the answer I obtained when attempting
to
open the string you advised - "We’re sorry, but we were unable to
service
your request. You may wish to choose from the links below for
information
about Microsoft products and services."

Unfortunately, I am not so computer literate as many, and I am at a
complete
loss how to proceed.

Cheers.

I get the same message in Safe Mode. Any further ideas?

Cheers.

When turning on computer a setup window pops up everytime that

It has been driving me mad for three years! My New Year's
resolution
is
to
get it sorted.
Google advanced search shows previous questions on the same
subject,
but I
am unable to access the responses. Can anyone help, please?

You have a high tolerance for going mad. Hopefully you haven't
used
it
all
up, eh?

Does it happen if you boot into safe mode? If not do some clean
boot
troubleshooting to see what is loading at startup that's invoking
this
message.

Ok see this:
Every time I launch my application, Windows Installer performs an
installation. How can I determine the cause of the on-demand
installation?

Yes, sorry seems that link is no longer any good. Try running Autoruns
from
here. Maybe it can give you an idea what's triggering this to run.

Run the windows installer cleanup utility to see if there is anything listed
there that looks unusual or could be what's triggering this.
