This is getting really annoying.....
Small office - two identical PC's, one has Win XP Pro, the other XP Home,
both have mailwasher Pro - the anti-spam software and both use Pocomail
3.4
as the email program.

The XP Pro machine keeps having problems downloading email - when
Mailwasher
Pro connects half the time I get an error message saying no such host,
make
sure the pop server is correct. If I just let the email program download
(Pocomail) I inevitably get the message socket error # 11004

the XP Home machine doesn't seem to have this problem at all accessing the
same email account

Can anyone point me in the right direction for fixing this?

Ron

Next time it happens, do this:
- Click Start / run / cmd {Enter}
- Type this command:
ping mail.your_isp.com
(type the correct name of your POP3 server as specified
in your mail client).

If ping works but Pocomail fails then you have a problem with
Pocomail. Try their FAQs.

If ping does not work then you need to have a closer look at
your network settings and/or your router. They should be
configured as specified by your ISP.
