I just noticed that I put the wrong URL for Resolution Changer

I am afraid that I'm not familiar with Altiris software so I cannot be of
much help there.
If you need anything else please let us know.

We are running a domain and are using Altiris for software distribution.
The
change has to be done after hours. I was hoping there was a command line
utility in Windows that I can use and schedule a job. I found a few apps,
reschange.exe is the one I was going to try first. Thanks for the
response.
I will check out those links.

Hi,
It would be great if you could provide a little bit more information
about
your environment (e.g. Do you have a domain, do you want to change the
resolution while people work,...)

The main problem is if the computer you are applying the screen
resolution
to does NOT support this screen resolution. If you are certain that all
the
computers support the mentioned resolution you can make a startup script
which would change the screen resolution at startup.

You can download a 3rd party utility (e.g. qres.exe -
http://home.no/aksoftware/) share it on a computer accessible to all and
write a batch file:
@Echo off
\\PublicComputer\Startup\Qres.exe /x 1024 /y 768

The other way to go is to push the screen resolution to computers;
Probably the easiest way to do that is by combining another utility from
Sysinternals called psexec.exe
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/utilities/psexec.mspx)
with
the already mentioned utility Qres.

Let us know if this helps and if anything is unclear.
