system hang

Recently, whenever I go to save a document (word, excel, etc) that I recived
via email, and try to save it to my computer, my system hangs for a while
(about a min. or 2) and even says NOT RESPONDING. If I wait a little
while, it finally will let me hit teh drop down box to where I want to save
it.

No idea why. Haven't installed anything abnormal recently.

Any ideas? My system resources aren't being affected or anything.
