I'm using WinXP.SP2 with Windows Desktop Search (02.06.5000.5378)

The search engine works fine while I'm on my home network but if I connect
to my work VPN, WDS crashes.

I'm trying to figure out how to debug exactly what is causing the crash.
Outlook may well be involved in some way since, after the crash, when I
select my Exchange Inbox I get a:

"Unable to display the folder. Another application closed unexpectedly while
using your Personal Folders file 'C:\ [blah blah blah] .ost'. To prevent
potential damage to your Personal Folders file, it will not be available
until you close all applications currently using it."

So I basically have to reboot. It's interesting that dropping off the VPN
doesn't cause the problem but connecting to it does...and it's not
predictable: I may connect to the VPN a couple of times without WDS crashing.

Any hints on where I could start with this problem would be appreciated!
