It depends on what you mean by "dump everything" and "restored comp to an
earlier date" because on the face of it, those are opposing statements.

To me, "dump everything" means you did a clean install - including drive
format - of Windows. If that is the case, then your files are gone unless
you use data recovery software.

My interpretation of "restored comp..." is that you used Windows System
Restore. In that case, your data files should still be there.

So please give a better description of what you actually did, where the data
files were, and the state of the computer now so you can get a focused
