I have NIS 2007, which is supposed to change the Norton Anti-Virus Toolbar
to the Norton Protection Center Toolbar, but even though it's lists in the
toolbar section, it can't be checked. I'm able to do that on my laptop, which
also has IE 7 but runs Windows XP Home instead of Pro for my main.
Contact Symantec tech support, and check around in the posts in the internet explorer newsgroup were IE7 questions are posted.
IMO you're better off without NIS. It's bloated, resource heavy and can cause problems sooner or later. There are other, less resource intensive better running programs to perform the functions NIS does, some of the for free.
