Do you have a Microphone connected to your PC ? All PC's
have a input jack on the sound card panel to accept one. The
Pink colored socket is the PC-99 standard for Microphones.
If you do have a Microphone you have to use the Audio mixer
(Recording mode) to select it as the default input device and
make sure it's not Muted and that the volume slider is at a level
appropriate to be heard but not distorted.

I have a friend who is able to communicate with me over my
speakers. She says I can do the same by going to Tools and taking
the mic off mute but I can't find the setting. Can anyone help me?
