Depends on what password it is. If it's a BIOS password, which appears
before the OS is loaded, you'll have to look in your system or
motherboard manual to find out how to reset it. It generally involves
shorting a couple of contacts on the motherboard.

If it's the XP operating system that's prompting you, then log into
the administrator account (if you haven't used it before, there won't
be any password for it, just hit OK when prompted) and reset your
password from there.
