our internet provider is SBC my email is charter, according to SBC I cannot
use OE for my mail.

To send from a name@xxxxxxxxxxx account, you have to use Charter's SMTP (outgoing mail) server, not SBC's.

To send from a name@xxxxxxx account, you have to use SBC's SMTP (outgoing mail) server, not Charter's.

To send a letter in Canada, you have to use a Canadian stamp, not a USPS stamp.

Etc.

internet provider is SBC my email is charter, according to SBC I cannot
use OE for my mail. we tried to setup the other sbc account(work) but i
got an error message from that too when I tried to send. I have gotton rid
of Spybot and Norton(not used) and disabled the other spyware program as
well as zone alarm. NO GO>>>> Now when I open my mail box, I cannot see
my emails. I can see the list of them, but there is no preview and when I
click to open it, it shows blank with just an hourglass showing. so I did
something to mess what WAS working up LOLOL. So I am sitting here VERY

HELP!!!! I am pulling my hair out, and I can not find anyone to help. I
can not get OE to send!!! tried to use it at home, no problem. but at
work,k thats a diff story. I can get it to receive fine, but i get a
time out error and a socket error message. can anyone help me? I know
there is a problem with in my computer, just at a loss as to where.......

Seems to me that the email server at work is not forwarding your mail.
Change the SMTP address in OE to the work email server (you may have to
get that from the IT person there)and it should work fine. You could
just set up another account so that you will not have to change it back
and forth from home to work. all you will have to do is select which
account to send from depending on where you are at the time. Click on
tools>Accounts>Mail to make these changes.
