Hello,

I live in Germany and just got a new notebook.
The notebook comes with a windows XP home (German language)
I want to know how to convet the language to ENGLISH.

Since this is XP home I dont get the language option in the regional settings.

Please advaice.

your windows installation is german since in fact you purchased the notebook in germany
there is no way you can change this to english without reinstalling the OS

could be that you will not even be able to do this if there is no install media provided with the notebook
if there are several cd's you should check them all to see if there is an english version between them

you could try to call the support line of the vendor of the notebook to see if you could get the english version send to your home
but even then the keyboard will remain german (QWERTZU) unless you swap this out too

can't you return the notebook and request an english version of it at the store you bought it from?
